At the beginning of the 20th century, Spain experienced an unprecedented boom and popularisation of its culture.

Spanish composers and performers such as Albéniz, de Falla, Cassadó, Sarasate and Casals were held in incredibly high esteem by European critics. Their works are considered masterpieces of world music culture.

Kirill Varjas is a Hungarian cellist who has been revitalising and developing the ‘Old Performers’ Art School’ for ten years. He performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician in various countries.

Tamilla Guliyeva is an Azerbaijani-German pianist who began her musical education in Baku at the age of six and continued her career in Germany after 2004. She actively performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe and teaches at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.
