»Gemüther auf / hinauff zur Sonnen«

You can look forward to a special kind of concert with Anna Moritz (soprano) and Martin Steuber (lute), who will present selected pieces from Christian Knorr von Rosenroth's »Neuem Helicon mit seinen Neun Musen« (1684). These include various melodic versions of the »Morgen-Glanz der Ewigkeit«, which is still found in Protestant hymnbooks today, as well as the figure poem »Geistliche Beschneidung des Hertzens«.

The musicologist Wolfgang Hirschmann (Halle) will present this evening and give an introduction to this extraordinary concert.
