One person fixes it or From a »true and original Kabbalah«
Lecture

Lecture
In the early 18th century, the debate about the Christian Kabbalah was a controversial topic that was also hotly debated in Halle. This Jewish-inspired tradition of interpretation met with resistance, as it was considered offensive and even heretical in parts of the ecclesiastical-theological public. The theologian Johann Franz Budde (1667-1729) intervened in this »paper war« and attempted to establish order. Despite fierce hostility, he showed how the New Testament was deeply permeated by the »true and original Kabbalah«.
In cooperation with the Mitteldeutsches Bibelwerk and the Interdisciplinary Center for Pietism Research, the speaker Nora Blume (Halle) will shed light on this exciting conflict.
