For a Tolerant and Cosmopolitan Society
About us
Article 1 of the German Basic Law: Human dignity is inviolable.

We are aware that the political climate in our country is currently changing rapidly. Social debates are increasingly characterised by inhuman tones that contradict Article 1 of the German Constitution, which cause lasting damage to social cohesion and are therefore unacceptable in a democratic culture of debate.
In the tradition of August Hermann Francke, we are committed to humanity and also stand up for all those who need our help.
As an educational cosmos and cultural beacon that is unique in Europe, we oppose hatred, hate speech and marginalisation and stand up for fundamental democratic values. We see education, social participation and sustainable action as the most important keys to a tolerant and cosmopolitan society.
